Crockpot BBQ Beef Sandwiches
BBQ Dreamin’
Some days gilling in the heat or slow smoking a roast all day long just isn’t an option. Especially on days like today for me (4th of July) when my husband is on the local volunteer fire department and they are putting on the town parade and potluck BBQ. This leaves me to handle all the kids, farm, potluck dishes, AND help out with the event. Phew! I’m exhausted already and I just sat down to drink my coffee.
However, at the end of the day, it sure would be nice to sit on our patio and enjoy some BBQ Beef Sandwiches and potato salad while we relax from a long day. Our easiest option is to make these amazing crockpot BBQ Beef Sandwiches that absolutely melt in your mouth.
Ingredients Food the BBQ Beef Sandwiches
1 2lb beef roast (I used chuck steak)
1 ½ Cups BBQ Sauce (Click here for homemade recipe)
6-8 cloves of garlic
Buns or rolls
Sliced provolone cheese
Salt and Pepper to taste
5-Minute Prep
- Set the roast out on a cutting board
- Trim of any overly excessive fat (some fat helps the flavor)
- Slice garlic cloves in half
- Slice holes into the roast with a knife and press halved cloves into the holes
- Season the roast with salt and pepper
- Spray crockpot with non stick spray
- Place roast in crockpot and pour BBQ Sauce of the top
- Turn roast over and make sure that side is covered well with BBQ sauce
- Cook on low for 7-8 hours or until meat falls apart easily with a fork
- Remove any bones and shred meat with a fork
- Serve on buns or rolls with cheese
- Goes great with this Simple Potato Salad!
