Kody Hanner
Part 1
Part 2
Episode Highlights
My friend Rachel Hester of Whoopsy Daisy Farm and I decided it was time to start asking questions and take a deep dive into the nutritional health that homesteaders are pursuing. We share our personal stories and then bring in all our shared knowledge and personal contacts to understand what’s happening to our bodies when we are doing it all right or especially when we aren’t.
I hope you enjoy our banter and stories. Below are links to everything we talked about. We also ask that you share your nutritional questions with us.

Rachel Hester’s Bio
Currently best known for her new book ‘The Guide to Homestead Dairy Sheep,’ Rachel began her homesteading journey while studying for her certification in Nutritional Therapy. This is where she learned the importance of what you eat eats, how good animal husbandry directly effects our health, and the nuances of finding the most perfect diet and food on the planet (spoiler alert – there isn’t any.) Helping her husband heal from some serious ailments acquired due to a career in Emergency Services and a Bone Marrow Donation, she has learned about many different healing modalities available to us today. Herbalism, homeopathy, essential oils, massage, detoxing, gut healing, and body movement have all been tools she has studied to help her husband overcome multiple health crisis.
When not helping her husband heal, she helps chase their very healthy one year old around the farm and milks dairy sheep in central Kentucky.
