This one of a kind homestead curriculum is designed for pre-school through to 3rd or 4th grade depending on your child and whether this will be used as a full curriculum or supplemental to another curriculum.
Build Your Own Homestead is designed to give your child a better understanding of were their food comes from. This allows them to take ownership in providing food for the family whether that’s understanding what they are choosing at the grocery store, helping you tend to the garden, or gathering eggs from your chickens.
Homesteading is a science on multiple different levels. Agriculture, animal science, food science, experimentation, and social science are used everyday on the homestead.
Homestead Science is also great option for afterschool activities, summer learning, and co-ops!

I will start by saying that my 10 year old daughter loves this curriculum, which is why we will continue to use it. It is fun, imaginative, and informative. It is applicable to our daily life and ties in nicely with other subjects that we are studying. One criticism being that even though we bought the expansion pack for older learners, it is still pretty young at least for my daughter. It’s fine, she doesn’t need a huge challenge in this subject. But, we can get through at least two days of work in one session, they’re pretty quick and easy. We will be purchasing the next level text for next year, despite it being advertised for 6th grade and up. I think it will be a good fit for my daughter, knowing her academic level. I would recommend this curriculum for any family and I think it would be great fit for kindergarten through second graders.
